The Whakatāne i-SITE Visitor Centre is part of New Zealand's official nationwide Visitor Information Network.

Whakatāne is a riverside town in the eastern Bay of Plenty Region in the North Island of New Zealand and is a popular holiday destination known for its pristine white sand beaches at Ōhope, Moutohorā Island and abundant fishing. In the southern part of the district, Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tāne is a magnificent ancient podocarp forest with a myriad of walking and cycling tracks.

We can book accommodation and activities and take bookings for InterCity, Naked Bus, KiwiRail, the Interislander and Bluebridge ferries.

Come and visit our friendly staff at the Whakatāne i-SITE for expert local advice and information.
