SUMMERHILL RECREATIONAL FARM
Summerhill Recreational Farm is a 126-hectare paradise for outdoor enthusiasts seeking adventure and tranquillity. Nestled just 10 minutes away from town in the breathtaking Papamoa Hills, this working sheep, cattle and forestry farm offers many kilometres of amazing scenic walking trails through forest, native bush and creek crossings.
The trails are conditioned for amblers, runners and persons with moderate fitness, and some trails are shared with mountain bikers, so please be considerate. Remember to pack essentials like water and sturdy footwear. The walking trails are accessible via Reid Road, and several facilities like toilets, picnic tables and an information sign are available. From the onsite car park, there’s also an easy ridgeline walk through pasture to the adjoining Papamoa Hills Regional Park. As Summerhill is a farm, you’ll have to leave your furry friends at home.
