Just a short walk from the city centre, The Elms is one of New Zealand’s oldest heritage sites. Take a tour through the historic mission house, wander the beautiful gardens, and get a sense of what early European life in Tauranga looked like.

VISIT GATE PĀ FOR SOME LOCAL HISTORY

From The Historic Village, it's only a short drive to Gate Pā | Pukehinahina, one of the region’s most significant historical sites. Walk through the reserve, read the storyboards, and learn about the 1864 battle that shaped Tauranga’s past. It’s a powerful place to pause and reflect.

Wrap up your day with a delicious dinner at Picnicka, located on Level 1 of the Farmers building. Described as a place to "graze and play", it’s the perfect spot to gather with friends and share tapas-style plates or a few generous platters.
