Summerhill is a charitable trust dedicated to preserving a green space for future generations. Our mission is to provide opportunities for recreation and education within a working farm and forestry environment.
Our farm is open to the public for mountain biking and walking, offering a peaceful escape for those seeking outdoor recreation.
For some, it’s about strolling through the diverse forests, featuring both exotic and native trees, while enjoying the unique timber structures built by thesis students from the Auckland School of Architecture. For others, the thrill of mountain biking awaits, with an array of exciting trails set against stunning natural surroundings.
The trails are located on the Pāpāmoa Hills, offering breathtaking views over the Bay of Plenty.
The farm is open 7 days a week, from dawn until dusk, and there's no need to book. However, a membership with Mountainbike Tauranga is required to use the mountain biking trails. For more information, visit https://mtbtauranga.co.nz/membership/.

Parking:
We have parking available for approximately 50 vehicles. If you’re visiting as a group, traveling by bus, or with multiple cars, please let us know in advance by emailing admin@summerhill.nz. This will help us ensure ample parking space and avoid any overlap with other events taking place on the same day.
