Encounter Wild Dolphins swimming along side the boat, seasonal seabirds, penguins, seals, whales, sunfish, school fish, sharks, orca and even turtles. You will spend half a day cruising and exploring the pristine Bay of Plenty coastline and islands with Bay Explorer where we will showcase the amazing diversity of marine wildlife. A genuine kiwi experience in nature for that once in a lifetime wildlife encounter. The Captain and experienced crew lust to share their marine knowledge with you and will provide fascinating commentary and point out all that they see. So you won’t miss a thing. Facilities and Features
Proximity to town:
We depart directly opposite the isite on the waterfront in Tauranga. Our departure location is only a 2 minute walk from the Tauranga CBD.
Proximity to airport:
10 minutes drive to Tauranga Airport and 1 hour to Rotorua Airport. 2.5 hours to Auckland International Airport.
Proximity to bus:
The Coach Terminal is an easy 200m walk from our departure location. You can just about see the boat at the waterfront. We can meet you if you wish.
Parking:
Yes - we have public parking close by on the water. Its a 2min walk to the boat and its now free thanks to Tauranga Council updated policies.
Weather Considerations:
Please ask the Bay Explorer operations crew. In the event that we can't depart as nature has decided not to cooperate we offer alternative dates or if that doesn't suit we will refund tickets.

Conditions:
We have a fully licensed bar onboard with cold beers, chilled wines and spirits. Non - alcoholic drinks are also available. You must be 18 years or older to purchase alcoholic drinks.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations are accepted 48 hours prior to departure. No refunds offered within 48 hours or for no shows.
