Jennian Homes Tauranga is hosting a stunning exhibition of artwork by local photographer Harry van Heerden.  The exhibition is at the Jennian show home at 180 Fifteenth Ave, Tauranga.

The exhibition encompasses abstracts and portrait photography, as well as landscapes, featuring subjects at home and abroad. In a New Zealand first, all of Harry’s photographs are printed on aluminum.

Kawerau Woodfest 2010

Kawerau Woodfest is the premier event in New Zealand for all things wood. 

The National Woodskills Competition attracts the best woodwork artists the country has to offer, with amazing pieces of wood related art on display.

Prideaux Park in the centre of Kawerau hosts the KFL logging competition and there is also the BIG DIG which is an entertaining wood chip shoveling competition.

You can also catch the Rotorua woodchoppers in action and chainsaw carving is an absolute must.

This is a great weekend for the whole family with plenty to do and see with lots of market stalls to keep you happy too!

Waimarino.com Awesome Action Day

People will pay only a couple of dollars for entry in our adventure park to use our free activities and can choose to pay a small amount to try as many of the other fun activities we have on offer.

Entry into Waimarino is $2 per child (under 14), $3 per adult (14+). Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Free activities include: Warm pool, Warm-water Slip ‘n’ Slide, Low Ropes Course, Diving Boards, Tarzan Swing, Gladiator Pole.

Tokens can be purchased to try these great activities: The Blob, Kayaking, Inflatable slide, Pedallos, Chair-o-plane, Climbing Wall, Mini Jeeps, Horizontal Bungy, Huge Springfree Trampoline, Air-gun target shooting, Horse & Cart rides, Face painting, BBQ & drinks

It’s likely to be warm as we are blessed with the best of NZ’s weather in Tauranga, but as always be prepared for indifferent weather!

Tauranga Moana Seafood Festival 2010 – Family Fun Day

The Tauranga Moana Seafood Festival is back again this year on the 27th of November with organisers working on an entertainment package for the entire family. This year the event will start at midday and run through to only 8pm.

Festival patrons can look forward to cooking demonstrations, fish filleting and mussel opening competitions, music entertainment, kapahaka plus more. The childrens programme consists of the Finals of the Talent Quest where heats will be run two weeks prior, harbour cruises, bouncy slide, treasure hunt and the BIG sandcastle competition, with more activities in the making.
